Prince Pückler Ice Cream

Ice cream is of course an inseparable part of Pückler's cuisine. Today, every child knows chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream in layers between two crispy waffles. Unfortunately, this "invention" does not go back to the prince. It is not possible to prove with certainty who exactly it was, but it remains a mystery of German cuisine. What is certain, however, is that Prince Pückler often and happily enjoyed ice cream. This included semi-frozen cream ice cream mixed with seasonal fruit and perfumed with a dash of maraschino. And although he was not the originator of the now well-known treat, Prince Pückler evidently knew that there was an ice cream with his name. It was certainly just to his taste...
